Hi, I've posted about this topic before. I wondered if we would ever get these. Everyone said to have patience, that Dave Hamburger would eventually release them. So I waited.
I happened to buy some ZR1 rims with tires off of a guy on ebay. The rims/tires came in a SLP box. The box was sealed by SLP. There was a number on an old shipping address with an SLP phone number on the box. I called the number on the box and lo and behold it was Dave Hamburger. I asked him about the rims. He told me that he had an associate of his selling SLP stuff on ebay. When our conversation was almost over I asked when the 2002 SLP options would be released. He said that he was sending them to GM later in the week. That was in February of this year.
Present: a little bit ago I emailed SLP and asked when the 2002 option breakdown was coming out. This is what the wrote back to me.

Dear Al, I have personally contacted Ed Hamburger and his son David
about
your email. David
Hamburger has assured me that he would be contacting you as soon as
possible. If you don't
hear from him within a reasonable time, please contact me and I will
try and
help you
myself. Also, if you email Matt Lefley at Mlefley@slpnj.com, he can
possibly
give you the
build numbers that you are looking for. I hope this helps.

Have a great day,

Colleen A. Meyer
VP / GM
SLP Performance Parts

This email was dated the 28th of April. I've yet to hear from Dave Hamburger.

Here is the email I got from Matt Lefley a couple of days later.

Al,
Thank you for your email, Let me fill you-in on what has transpired since last year, Unfortunately due to the demise of the F-Body car program form GM SLP Engineering, Is longer in operation. SLP Performance Parts in New Jersey acquired the SS and Firehawk program, as of October 1st 2003. We have all the replacement Parts on our web site at www.slponline.com and If you would like I can also send you an SS catalog. now as far as build numbers are concerned the numbers provided were always a joint effort from SLP Engineering and GM. I don't think you have to worry about deprecation, there are lot of rare cars that don't carry "build" numbers that are still worth a lot of money including late 60's Camaro SS's there a worth a lot of money today in mint condition, and don't have numbers. Anyhow, I can help you out with build numbers, I can run a cars vin number and provide customers with there build number and options. As far as total number for the cars, due to both SLP Engineering and GM facility's closing, It made it very difficult for SLP Performance Parts to obtain correct information, you have to remember there really isn't any one left from the old car program, I do however have "35" Anniversary numbers that have be given to me Via GM as of late last year, I also have a "penetration" report that was for the most part accurate for 02 Cars. I don't have this information on disc, but I can send you of fax you these number and If you would like to forward your vun number, I can send you a copy of your cars build number and options. I apologize on behalf of SLP Performance If this has been an Inconvenience for you, and I hope some of this information helps. If you have any further questions, you can contact me direct.

Sincerely

Matt Lefley

mlefley@slpnj.com

And the final email I got.

Al,
Again, If you would like to forward your address, I'll send some catalogs. Also I attached a copy of your option sheet.

Kind Regards

Matt Lefley

I appreciate these SLP's employees efforts. Unforetunately, it looks like the 2002 SLP option breakdown will never be released. I wish Dave Hamburger would just come out and say this.

Those are the GM numbers Settlemire released a while ago.

We're waiting on the SLP option breakdown.

GM had to verify the SLP numbers with theirs still.

There is more info on it here:

Sheets....The 2002 general breakdowns have been out for a long time. I think Al is referring to the individual SLP breakdowns of the 2002 cars like how many have CME, chrome wheels, Auburn, SS grille, Bilstein, etc.

How about Chrome wheels and Chrome CME's [Big Grin] (I know, not an SLP option...but it should have been [Cool] )

Didn't I read here (I beleive Chris posted it?) that Dave shipped the numbers to Scott about 1-2 months ago? -

I'll get with Scott to discuss the release of the numbers. I released my final version to Scott, but I know he is very busy these days as well as I am.

I am no longer with SLP, but as a favor to my father and GM - I did this in my spare time.
