Just got a Suburban and wanted a few minor things. Like skid-plate (a $95 option from GM).

Also, what is the site to buy GM part directly. I want to price a 3rd wireless headset for the DVD system.

Thanks,

Tom

Can't help you with the first question but the answer to your other question is http://www.gmpartsdirect.com.

Had a hard time trying to find a skid plate (aftermkt), they're all brush guards, etc....

The GM skid plate was part of an off-road pkg (Z71) and I didn't need the off-road tires, springs and shocks, but I did like the idea of a skid plate(it was listed as an option for $95).

That website only goes to 2002 and couldn't find skid plate or additional headphones. Am I doing anything wrong? I saw (recently) people posting cost of 35th SS stripes dealer vs. GMpartsdirect.

Help [Confused]

Tom

I've found that GMPartsDirect isn't all that useful unless you know the part number. More than once, I've gone to the dealer to find the part number then ordered it from GMPartsDirect.

Did anyone put a billet grille in a Silverado? Which is the best or easiest to install, a bolt-over or a cut-out? Which looks nicer,a brushed aluminum or a polished one?
