Just wanted to drop in and introduce myself. Some of you may already know me. I used to run around the VA area and NJ SLP days and Skyline with my purple 95Z.
Anyways, name is Matt Winkelman and I am now the proud owner of Comp T/A #139. Many of you probably know where this car came from. It was KenC's old ride. Well it came to a good home and is on it's way back to Norwalk in less then 3 weeks. Hope to meet some other Hawk owners there.
I see a lot of familiar handles here and already feel at home. I an in the Northern VA area (Dale City) for those who may live close.

Thanks everybody. I can't believe that it's actually mine. I have always wanted an SLP car since I got my Z. Now I have one and a rare one at that.

Hey - I remember you! Nice to hear from you again. I may be able to do the fall Skyline run, may see you there. And, congrats on the car. Just don't let Ken take it for a spin, he never could drive it right anyway!

...yeah, and speaking of that did you manage to get that foul smell outa the driver's seat?
That's going to take a lot of work and, ultimately, may not be successful. He may need to consider just replacing the seats.

I'm not from VA, ...but was the 9-11/pentagon logo, ...and the "Fight Terrorism" an 'available' plate through the state, ...or (as I suspect) did you "mod" the plate? If you modded it, ...AWSOME! job, ...if it was available through the state, ...very cool

It is actually available through the state for a $10 yearly fee on top of the personalized fee. The money goes into a fund to help fight terrorism since the pentagon is in our backyard really. Pretty cool huh?
Virginia actually boasts the most available plates than any other state. The only "modded" part was the silver "T/A" that Ken added.
