maybe writing will help me feel better.
last night, after 10:00 pm, someone, came through our patio gate, and the walk through door to our garage, and stole of my son's 2 Haro BMX bikes.
2 - $150 skateboards, remote control toys, chainsaw, craftsman tools - all right there not touched.
live in great neighborhood, slighlty exclusive, large lots, never locked gate or garage door in the 11 years there. monthly police report for our subdv. almost nil. got our own police/fire station, only 1000 homes in the "hood".
we, police/us think it's some "bad" kids down the street. many kids come to my garage to get a flat fixed, brakes fixed, air in the tires. seems their dads too busy, not interested.
i hate theives. my boys treated their Haro's like I treat the SS. clean, maintained.
many times when i washed the SS my 9 & 12yr old would come wash their Haro with me. good times on sat. or sun. morning watching a son wash his bike.

Well, it's definitely someone who knew you - keep your eyes open and ask you neighbors to do the same.

update ! got one back on sat. a.m., turned in at police station in front of subv.
then 10:30 pm sat, i got phone call from kid down the block saying he and his dad wanted to talk, they knew who the thieves are (heresay) gave that to police. since they went in garage it would be burglary of habitation - felony
it's much easier to replace 1 - $250 bike than 2 bikes.
not too many Haro's in our subv., so I think the kid thugs figured out their too hot
