While Chevrolet is hosting an Official Birthday Celebration for the Camaro at Indianapolis, the National Corvette Museum is also hosting an F-Car Birthday Celebration -- and we'll be there!

Two great celebrations.....one with the excitement of NHRA Racing, the other with the excitement of the National Corvette Museum and the Corvette Assembly Plant!

Check your calendars for two great events marking 35 years of "Performance, American Style!"

A three-day birthday celebration commemorating 35 years of F-Body sports cars, the Camaro and Firebird, is scheduled to take place at the National Corvette Museum September 21 - 23, 2001.

The event also boasts seminars by former Camaro/Firebird Chief Engineer John Heinricy, Camaro/Firebird brand team's Scott Settlemire, and a special seminar on F-Body Performance by Jon Moss. a banquet and awards presentation, vendors and tuners, car clinics and road tours to Holley Performance and the Corvette Assembly Plant are also slated for the first-ever event.

Camaro rolled into the lives of many automobile enthusiasts in 1966, and continues to stand as part of the American automobile history. Shortly after the Camaro hit the road, General Motors introduced another of its F-Body automobiles, the Firebird. "Celebrating almost 35 memorable years that Camaro and Firebird have brought to the sports car ownership experience is going to be an exciting feat," said NCM Event Coordinator Larry Hayes. "The collection of centerpiece automobiles planned for display, in addition to the many other activities scheduled is going to offer a memorable and fun-filled weekend to our guests, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to this mega-event."
