Now is your chance to nominate someone for the Olympic Torch Relay.

The Torch Relay starts on December 4th in Atlanta when the Olympic flame arrives
from Greece. From there it will travel over 14,000 miles and through 43 states
ending up in Salt Lake City for opening ceremonies for the 2002 Winter Olympics
on February 8th.

The main method of transport for the flame will be people. Over 11,000 people
will carry the torch across the USA.

And we know that Camaro and Corvette owners are passionate, dedicated and
inspirational!

Here is how the nomination works:
Anyone can nominate someone to run with the torch.
You can pick up a form at one of your local Chevy dealerships, or go to
www.chevrolet.com/olympics for the nomination form.
Fill out the form and write a 50-100 word essay about the person you are
nominating, explaining why you feel they are inspirational to you.
The person you are nominating must be at least 16 years of age, and you
cannot nominate yourself.
The person you are nominating must be able to carry the torch up to
two-tenths of a mile, but is not required to physically run.
If the person you nominate is selected they will be contacted directly, and
every effort will be made to have them run within 100 miles of their zip
code. Every torchbearer must provide their own transportation to their
assigned running slot.
Consumer torchbearers are selected by an independent third party agency.

Please pass this along to your e-mail lists, and encourage your friends, family,
and co-workers to submit nominations. Everything must be submitted/postmarked
by April 30th.

This is a great opportunity for you to recognize people in your life who have
inspired you; family, friends, co-workers, volunteers, etc. It is a truly
unique gift to give someone as a thank you! Perhaps one of your friends will
even nominate you.
