Fellow Comp TA owners. What is the deal with low balling the price of these collector cars? This is our NATIONAL FORUM to show the true value of these rare and beautiful cars! If you want to "Kelly Blue Book" price your car do it at your local level. Don't blow it at the National level. A potential buyer was at this link and he was upset that I'm over priced! I'm not over priced just under cut by my Comp TA brotherhood. Any comments? Posts: 2 | From: Olathe, Kansas | Registered: Oct 2001

I understand people that need to sell their cars quickly. I tried to sell mine about six months ago when I thought I might be loosing my job. The common person will only see a Trans Am with a pretty paint job. They will not pay what the car is worth. They just don't understand, but like wise they won't pay what a fully restored 65 GTO is worth either. The bad thing is that the true F-body nuts are few and far between. So selling the car for what it's worth takes a long time. Just like trying to sell a cherry 65 GTO, it may take a while. So it's like all collector cars, its only worth the money to certain people. Getting the certain buyer and seller together at the same time when one has the money and the other needs the money at the same time is rare. Just my theory.

GET AN APPRAISAL !Why sell yourself short if you don't really know the value. In my opinion, my car is worth a MILLION BUCKS ! In reality, I had to get an appraisal a couple of years ago for insurance purposes and it was valued at $27,000. Right now I'm not sure what I would get, but I'd look into it before selling for the wrong price.
