Hey guys n' gals. I was over on the 3rd gen msg board and they have come up with an idea that I think may just solve this issue of "lowballing" the pirce for these cars as some folks have said here.

http://www.3rdgen.org/bb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15201

This is the thread. Basicly they are compiling a data base for insurance adjusters to go off of when thier cars get wrecked. I know a lot of people don't want others to know how much they paid for a car, so what do you think?

They are submitting lists of mods, pictures, details of the particular vehicle and the final sale price. I would prefer it to be a "Private" list not a public one myself if it did happen. As in no names or vehicle # , just a year and the list with the final sales price.

The only drawback would be that the actual sales prices of some of these cars is a LOT lower then the $30K+ that it may be worth to you. But not the insurance company.

Or you could do like I do and get stated value insurance on it. But not everyone can afford it, yes even those of us who own rare cars are broke a lot of times. [Wink]

Good idea? Bad Idea? Take a flying leap? [Smile]

You got the insurance, or made a database?
