SLP says that the reason for the different build numbers (#79 vs #95) is that the number on the window sticker is the number in the line of Firehawks that came off the line that year and the number on the plaque is the number of the Comp T/A overall. Thus, mine would be #95 Comp T/A and the 79th firehawk produced in 1996.
Does this make sense?
SLP also stated that the rear deck mats are no longer available.
As for the center caps, they are currently out of stock and not sure when they will get more.
I guess this is the price you pay for a rare car.

So there are a lot less Comp T/As then 164? Or is that the correct # built instead of the 200 like my plaque says.

I don't think it means there are less than 164. Basically one number is the firehawk build number and the other is the comp t/a build number. That is how they explained it to me (Dave McCaslin).

OHHHHHH Ok, Thank you for that clarification. I have never heard a credible answer for why they skipped numbers on the '96-'97s. That does make sense now. Posts: 23 | Registered: May 2002

my wifes 97 firehawk was missnumbered as well. it was the last one off the assembly line... it got lumped in the overall production of teh lt4 hawks as well...came thru as #132... when only 118 hawks were made in 97 with the lt1 motor........
