Any one know of a supplier that has a clean looking roll bar, like Gonzos or like the Mercedes style, flat not too obtrusive.

Gonzo is selling the one he has since he's putting in a Wolfe 6-point. I think he said he wanted $350 for it, but you might double-check that with him. Also, RKSport (which is the one Gonzo has now) sells that light bar. You could check with them.

Are you doing this strictly for looks ... or does it need to be functional/legal for some sort of competition?

I'll be heading to a "Test and Tune" at our local track on the 1st and will try to get a definitive answer from their tech people as to what exactly they will be looking for to be legal to run 13's. Seems every track is a little different.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm looking at it for couple of reasons;
Looks
A little more safety for back seat passengers
And as you say possum, will they look the other way at the track or even let me run with the top down?

For safety, I don't think that the light bar will help much. I think it's primarily for looks. Sometimes at the track, they will overlook the rollbar thing if you have a light bar. They did it at SLP day when I was there. But, I've talked to a bunch of guys that say they usually don't get a break with the light bar at the track. Hope that helps some...

Back seat safety is tricky ... one of our local shops point blank refused to do a rollbar if I was leaving the back seat in ... said heads without helmets and roll bars in close proximity were a lethal mix.

I believe the tracks that follow NHRA rules require a six point bar that meets very specific criteria.

Top up and windows closed is always required ... and don't run the A/C ... it drips water all over the place

Yes, I am selling mine.... $350.00 OBO.

It's the same one that RKSport sells, and Doug did nail the reason for my selling of it.

The Light Bar is not a functional piece of equipment. It's really for looks and has a brake light that is functional on it. It's a pretty darn sturdy piece however.

MIR allows me to run there with it even though I'm a 12.7 car and an 11 sec car on juice. For my safety, I have purchased a 6-point and that's why this bar is selling.
