Today while trying to latch the roof down, the passenger side latch hook would not reach the hole that it goes into. Looked like the whole roof was out of alignment . With the roof half way down, I checked out the roof frame for any bent/twisted bars. While on the passenger side, I notice a little stopper/bumper thingy. Found this to be loose. Ah-ha! . Tightened it up and tried the latch again. Latch worked, problem solved.

The 'stopper' is highlighted with the red square in the pic. Sorry for such a big pic but thought that y'all could see the stopper more clearly this way.

Thanks for the heads up

My driver's side latch was loose a while back. I found that I could reach between the roof and the liner and get a socket on the bolt that held it in with the roof vertical (about 1/2 open). The service manual gives the impression that the fabric needs to be removed to get access to the latch.
