I've been searching the web with a few options. I'm waiting for a reply from Haartz (OEM guys). Anybody have any suggestions. I just need the cloth.
Thanks,
Gabe

How about ordering it from a dealership?
GM is required to make parts available (through them or a licensed source) for 10 years, so your local parts dept. should be able to tell you where to get it.

You can also try www.speedautomotive.com They are a 4th-gen specific junk yard in cleveland, TN. I think they'll sell you the whole top assy for something like $500. I bought a power antenna from a 99TA (was brand new) for $45 and put it in my SS. Regular GM price is something like $90. I also got them to tear into a car and sell me just the pigtail connectors for the fog lamp and ASR switch. These guys are really easy to talk to and will get you what you need at a fair price.

One of my dealerships had no listing, the other wanted 2500 bucks and couldn't tell me what all came with it or if it was even the right color! They can't even get me original replacement floor mats!
As for the junk yard, I've dealt with them, they're pretty good, but I want a new top, not one someone else wore out like mine already is.
Thanks for the replies,
Gabe

Here in Canada we have a Auto Glass repair company called Standard Auto Glass that also does convertible tops. I have a 1981 Cordobe since new that I drive daily and it has the convertible top over a fiberglass shell that is on the steel roof, that was damaged and they did a good job on it. These guys here do a lot of older convertibles for restoration. They might be in the US as well.

Your best bets for cheapest authentic GM parts :

Dal Slabaugh lockitup@bright.net

or http://www.gmpartsdirect.com

Those two places usually have the best prices. Don't go to the dealer and pay the markup unless you have to.

Peace,
