Can anyone tell me why you can't get the 1LE suspension from SLP on a convert

Is that the koni suspension? I would guess that its not designed for the convert, because of its race application. It would make for a fairly stiff ride for sure. (Just a guess)? I have the bilstien suspension and i love it. My only wish would be more adjustability.

Probably the same reason you couldn't get the Bilstein on the convertible until '01 (it was revised for '01) and they didn't include 17" wheels on the ragtops until '98 or '99 (don't remember which).

Chassis rigidity is the concern ... squeeks and rattles developing because of suspension harshness ....

GM has to certify all SLP Y2Y options on the SS and 'hawk . I would guess that even if the 1LE were certifiable on the ragtop they wouldn't bother because sales volumes would be expected to be very low.
