Just got my BMR SFCs installed. For those of you that don't have some yet - two words... Get Them!!! I should have put these on before I did anything else. The car drives much better now.

Best bet is a chassis shop with a technician that understands high strenth steel and unibody construction. I think I may have paid $50 more than I had to ... but I am confindent they knew what they were doing.

...and I understand that a "drive on lift" should be used so the chassis is "loaded" while the welding is done.

I had a guy in Baltimore, MD put mine on for me. They only charged me $80 and the guy that did the welding did a great job. They didn't do mine on a drive-on lift. However, I don't think that they could have welded them on with the car sitting on it's tires. I don't think they would have had enough room to work (especially since my car is lowered a little). My car was up on a lift that used 4 pads to lift each corner of the chassis. I had heard the same thing about the drive on lift. Mine seem to be fine so far. I managed to get out on Summit Point Raceway and take a couple fast turns on the track and I can say that the handling is much better now.

MCFLYZ28 - the difference is quite noticable. You know how the car always shakes and shimmies when you hit a bridge with a crooked joint? Or a weird bump in the road. Almost all of it is gone now. There's still a tiny bit, but much much better now.

Thanks for the info, I just put on a BMR STB last week, I could tell a slight difference nothing dramatic, the car feels like it responds better in sweeping curves not as floaty.
