Well, as many of you know....I'm constantly working on "Speedy" and there's always room for improvement.... Oh, took a little vid clip of "Speedy" at start up as well...

Well, I installed the Wolfe Racecraft 6-Point Roll Bar last week as well as a IOSport Camera Mount. I'll be padding the entire roll bar as I think it adds a little more aggressive look than the plain tube appearance. Plus, it helps from head bangs...uh, I got a story for you on that one...but I'll spare you this time....hehehee

I've been having a blast with the camera. This past weeekend I recorded some runs at Maryland International Raceway and dayum....it looks and feels wild watching it from outside of the vehicle. I'll have to compress the video/audio for the internet so you guys can see what it's like.

My current fuel injector's (24#) duty cycle is almost 90% by the time I shift, so need to upgrade them to be on the safe side. My injector pulse width is close to maxing out. 20 msec is the longest pulse width I'd like to see and mine are around 18-19. Tom Byrne and I have been working through which injectors to go with and we've decided to go with 30# injectors and a T-Rex Inline Fuel Pump. The T-Rex will flow 50gph at 70 psi. This will help me in running the 150hp nitrous shot at a bit safer rate.

Well, when this is all done, I will hopefully finally be in the 11s on juice and a very low 12 naturally aspirated. Fingers crossed.....

THAT, is a good looking vehicle. I know what you mean about the camara. I had one mounted in my 69 Firebird 400. I set the focus on infinite. Sometimes I had trouble with the exposure not working right. If it was bright out, all you saw was a white windshield. When it did work right it was badass. I had a remote control in my lap to turn it on and off.

Very Nice!! Thanks for the pics.

Please tell me the roof not being all the way down has nothing to do with the roll bar.

I believe NHRA rule mandate full rollbar padding anyway.

Thanks 98TripleWhiteWS6Vert...she still manages to turn heads even with the killer LS1s rumbling around our streets....

As for the top not being all the way down....the top does touch about 1/8" on the two tubes going to the rear.... I'll have to do some tweaking on the top for an easy pass over. That didn't have anything to do with the top being down though. When I told Wolfe about it...it came as a surprise to them. I told them that I did everything I could with the bar so it wouldn't touch....but no matter, it still touches. Oh well....a little tweaking of the top and I'll be fine.

As for the padding....I would highly recommend anyone going with padding on their bars to go with SFI 45.1 Roll Bar Padding. It's fire retardant.... What I'm using is not fire retardant....so going with the SFI 45.1 will be more of a safety in case of a fire. I'll be switching out once I can afford it...lets see...what I'm running runs $4.00 per 4 feet....and the SFI runs $15.00 for 3 feet...hmmm...hahahaaa...psssst...think safety.

Hey Henry.....yea, as far as padding the rest of the bar...I'm working on it. Call it being lazy. I think it adds a more aggressive look to the ride. I do need to mod the top a bit though so it will easily lower all the way down. Plus, once I pad those two bars going to the rear...that will add more gerth and make more of a prob. Yes, please do send me some pics of the mods you did to your's. smoknz28@bellatlantic.net

Thanks a bunch Henry....

Ahhhh....didn't know that. Dayum, I thought that piece was a retainer for the soft inside portion of the vert. Hmmm...wonder what it's purpose is for then.

I'll take mine off to test out this idea. Thanks....

Not sure which bar you are interested in however, the Wolfe 6-point bar allows use of the backseat. You WILL want to ge the removeable crossbar.

Thanks for the compliments on the ride...it's been a long time coming..hahahaa... There are other pics in my signature if you're interested in other types of mods. I'd like to see how your ride is coming along....
