Ahhhh....well I just responded to your post on Project TransAM...
Here it is:
quote:I've pretty much slammed my front end...you can ask many of the members....and running the FLPs...I have not hit them yet. You just have to know how to drive if you lower your ride. Precautions have to be taken of course. I love the FLPs! Yes, plug access is a PITA, but they do produce the power. Long tubes are the way to go!!!
If you want, I can take some pics at some point for ya....remember, I'm slammed though in the front. I run HAL 12-way Adjustable Shocks all around and HAL Drag Springs up front with Eibach Progressive Springs in the rear.
I have not heard anything good on the SLPs both on LT1s and LS1s. I have installed a set of FLPs on an LS1 and man....it wasn't bad at all on the install. Plus, plug access is nice.... I know you got an LT1. Just remember, you have to sacrifice some things when it comes to aftermarket headers....especially long tubes....like plug access.....making it a bit tougher to get to.

Thanks for the reply's, did you get my previous emails? Anyway I'm more concerned about ground clearance than anything. I can live with bad plug access. Pics would be great, i've seen a few but not really clear enough to make a decision. I have a few more questions I'd like to email you Let me know Thanks again for the reply

I have FLP's on my car and ground clearance is not a problem. I also have a Borla but find that the car is too loud (if there is such a thing) - with any of the open plates, so I have it cut off right now.
Knowing that now, I would not have picked the Borla with headers. In fact I'm thinking of going to true duals if I can.

I don't know ifits my car or the roads here, but I scrape with the factory dual cat y pipe and SLP Shorty's? I used the LS1 springs and maybe that dropped the front more. It doesn't seem as low as Gonzo's though. Anyhow I went with the AS&M's. I didn't want to risk it. Injuneer 94 from Z28.com and MAFBA has them on his 10sec stroker Formula so I figured they'd be ok for my car! Thanks for the help guys.
