Went to the track for the monthly Outlaws race. It was about 70 degrees out. The car ran 13.80's all through trials. On the 4th trial I was met by 2 officials at the ticket booth. They said I had to slow it down or I was going home. I said, the car is bone stock. They said they didn't care. I asked what I would need to do to make it legal and they said I needed a roll bar. So I asked what constituted a roll bar? In the back of my mind I knew what was coming, but I thought maybe I could talk them into a light bar. This isn't an NHRA track, but they follow their rules. They wanted a full cage with the side bars and everthing. I said I didn't want to cut the car up and that I take my kid to daycare in the car. He had no simpathy. So I was pissed now. I had to dial 14.0 all day long. I ended up going to final and won all my races on the brakes. Anyone have a bolt in cage that won't ruin the car? How much? Could it be taken out and put back in once a month or maybe for the season? I just hate to ruin this rare car.
