I want to fit 315/35/17 tires on my trans am.
Has anyone done this, and can it be done. My
current setup is a set of enki win rims and lowering springs. I would love to step up to really wide tires.

Yes, my Z was fitted with them and they did well...however, get an adjustable panhard rod...as I didn't have one for a couple months and I was scraping the tire on the passenger's side on the fender well. You can roll your fenders a tad bit as well...

Hmmmm, well let me forward you to this site which is nicely dedicated to doing this mod: http://u2.netgate.net/~jshapiro/z28/315s/index.html

Good luck and let us know how it turns out for you....

And if you're coming from 275s to 315s then here's a great comparison for you:

Gulp....here's a 315 up in the air:

have them on some chrome ZR1 rims (GS offset) I have an adjustable panhard bar and SLP springs. I had to do some body work - with a large sledge hammer - to the inside front lower area of the wheel well and a little above the bump stop. I also had to grind down the 'face' of the bump stop to allow the wheel to drop when beinf jacked up.

I would recommend it.
