Just arrived yesterday - see sig. Now this forum actually applies to me!

Looks great except for one small item. There are two scratches above the driver's door lock (looks like they are from a key). They are definitely into the paint. One is approx. 1.5 inches long and has already had touch up paint applied that seems slightly darker than the body paint. The other one is not as deep but you can see that it is into the paint. What would you recommend that I do to have this corrected or at least made to look better? Should the area simply be lightly buffed? Suggestions Please.

Cool. Glad to here it finally made it.

I had my driver's door keyed end to end. Colormelt on Regent fixed it up really well ... but they did cover the entire car with a grit, whether overspray or polishing compound I don't know ...that mandated a top to bottom claying.

Our driver here had a nasty scrape on his Black Grand Cherokee done there as well, and I had warned him about my experience, they did a good job on his, and no grit.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to check with the dealer as well later this morning once they open up.

How was your trip to Edmonton? The weather was sure great - sunny and mild (I was in Slave Lake).

Which local dealer is looking after you?

Trip to Edmonton was uneventful. Roads and weather were fine .... We picked up an XBox and Gotham Racing basically right after we got there, so between racing the nephews, eating (2 turkey dinners in 3 days),and a couple of church services we were kept fully occupied.

Well we had 2 turkey dinners in 2 days - Xmas at brother-in-law's family's and boxing day as sister's.

No local dealer at this point, just with original BC dealer so far. Talked to them just a little while ago and he said to take it somewhere and have the repair shop call them and they would take care of it. I'll give Colormelt a try and see what happens.
