I have a 99Z under warrenty till March 2002. I just noticed the trunk wearing down a small section of the top. You cant see it with the trunk closed. Pretty soon its gonna be a hole. I took it to the dealer to get it fixed. Wouldnt that fall under warrenty? Apparently not. There seems to be a 1 year,12k mile "Adjustment" period for the doors, the hood, and the trunk. If in that period of time you notice the hood, trunk, or doors out of alignment they will fix it. Since the trunk was never re-aligned, they wont fix the top which was caused by the trunk rubbing.
That is a load of crap. What ever happened to bumper to bumper warrenty. I guess its my fault that GM didn't align the trunk lid properly and caused the top to rub.
Anybody else have a TOP problem the dealer wouldnt fix?
