Somehow over the past week one of the little (excuse my terminology) 'doo-hickies' that is supposed to be attached to the read window so the defroster will work has come off... its the one of the passenger side and it looks as though it was just saudered on.. but i'm not sure.. but with it not connected the window won't defrost in the morning.. and i need to fix it.. i was wondering on some ideas of how it can be fixed.. and if i should take it somewhere.. what place should i take the car?

My only other suggestion would be to price out a new window.
I had a defroster, pin / plug re-soldered onto the glass and it looked pretty bad (1981 Z).
Check out some glass replacement shops, they should be able to help you, with either the repair of the connector, or how to obtain a replacement lite of glass.

You can solder those terminals back on the glass but you need a high wattage soldering gun to do the trick because the glass acts like a heat sink. I use a cheap Sears model that the tip will get red hot and it does the job on a window. Clean the terminal and the grid good before soldering.

The terminals are soldered onto the back glass, and its very hard to get them to stick and stay there and also look good. You can try soldering them if you can, of as suggested previously, check with a glass shop to see if they can resolder it for you. The next best option might be to replace the back window with one out of wrecking yard. Good luck.
