Well, I can tell you it's not cheap. Mine has been replaced twice.. and mines a 2001! 1st time was taken care of by Chevy because on delivery, the seal on the window was bad allowing water to leak into the trunk. 2nd time was also covered by Chevy.. the defroster on the replacement window was defective, and caused the window to shatter when I used it. That took some heated discussions with the dealership to get them to replace it (no pun intended). But in the mean time, I was also dealing with my insurance company. Here in FL ALL glass is covered, without a deductable. It's the law. However.. Most glass shops aren't equipt to handle convertible heat seals, and will want to replace your entire top From Chevy, the rear glass alone will run around $280. Thats what I was quoted. Hope this helps!

Year one has them

But they ain't cheap. I'd try some of the salvage yard searches online. I found some cheap body parts doing that befoer but I've never looked for glass. Good luck.

Check the stationary glass section in the GM service manual and it shoud explain how the glass is retained.
