Just the other day I noticed a major ( and I mean major! ) protrusion at the passenger side front. Good thing that I caught it before any damage was done to the cloth. There is a screw with a big 'washer type' head on it that fastens the front frame ( the part that has the two latches ) to the part that goes the length of the door window. Put the top half way down to be able to move the cloth out of the way to expose the loose screw. Actually, it was more than just loose, it was just haging there not even threaded in :grumble:. Figures it has to be a Torx head screw ( why can't all the fasteners be a standard head type??? ). Off to the hardware store. The largest Torx screwdriver that I could find was a #30. The #30 was a tad undersize for the screwhead but it did the trick. Checked the drivers side screw and it was loose. They are both tight now . Anyone with a 'Vert should check these screws and make sure they are tight.

If anyone would like some pics, Please let me know....

Yes....pics please!

We have something poking out from the inside of the top and it looks like it'll wear through. It's been that say since day one. I'm wondering if it's in the same place as yours.

Thanks for the heads up! I have not noticed anything but maybe I am not looking in the correct area of concern.

There are two screws in the pic but the one in question is the first one ( closest to you in the pic ) just under the cable.
