Hi fellow SSOA Members,
Well as some of you may have known I have been unemployed since April. This was of my own choosing so please no sympathy.
I left to try to make a go of a SFC business and although I feel successful I can not survive on that alone.
In hind site I may have jumped too soon but stand by my decision.

I want to have a career in the Auto Industry and although sales is not my first choice it will allow me to keep close to the new Chevrolets.
I will be the Internet Sales Manager for a local Chevy Dealer here in Cincinnati.
Not that any of you would make here to get a car but I may be helpful in other ways.

I will continue to make SFC's for the 4th Gen F-body. I seem to have a knack and really enjoy it.
As a matter of fact D.Goetz Fabrications will begin the next run of Convertible Bolt-on SFC's today as soon as the steel truck shows up.

I do have the best customers, being small allows me to actually meet each one.

Congrats on the decision. Sounds like it'll be flexible enough to let you do your fabrication business on the side.

Don, I tried to email you but it kept coming back. I got my SFCs in the mail and will be putting them on in a few days. I haven't looked under the car yet. Is it obvious how they fit? How much should I torque the bolts? Can the SFCs be used as a jacking point once they are installed?

Thanks

Jerry Montgomery

Many have use them as a jacking point and I know they are strong enough. I don't jack my car by them but maybe I should.
I usually Email the instructions at the time of shipping, apparently I did not in this case. You should have mail soon.
I think it is obvious but I do them all the time.
The supplied LCA bolts replace the factory ones.
Thats where you start just pick a side.
The holes in the SFC's will line up with holes the subframes of the car.
The rectangular nuts for the front brackets have to go through the holes that will be above the forward most SFC holes.

How tight, on the screws that will thread into the rectangular nuts as tight as you can by hand.
The LCA bolts should not allow the LCA's to move from side to side. When you hear a clunk or clop
the bolts need tightening.
The Torque spec is altered by the SFC brackets.
I know that is nebulus but the suspension will make a similiar noise when it seats and never again unless it needs more tightening.

Well let me know if you want some help with that install the coupes are a little more involved than the Verts.
Oh, your bar is signed and ready to ship.

Well I actually just came in from the garage were I was working on ten.
Thousands, I'm still on approach for the one hundredth set. Thanks for your encouragement.

So did you want navy SFC's or will black do?
I have a black set that the powdercoat is not perfect and a deal can certainly be had on those.

I'm hoping the '07 won't need SFC's but if it does mine will be the first to the market

Wish I knew you were gonna be selling new Chevys, bought a 4dr 2003 Cavalier LS (Roles) for "winter wreck".
My SS is 3 1/2 yrs old with almost 60,000 on it and I have the 100,000/7yr GMPP. But I did get the synthetic option from SLP when I ordered it so I guess the drivetrain is guaranteed 500,000.
Best mod was your SFC's. I will be unloading the "Roles" at 30,000 ie after 3 winters. In the fall of 2006 Ill need another "Roles".
BTW dealer matched internet price in 3/00 and I used a pts GM plan for purchase so if your still doing internet sales then I guess Ill just get it from you.
Thank You and Good Luck.

Ron and anyone for that matter I would highly recommend checking out www.theautomile.com for the Chevys at least.
They won't be turning me loose for another couple weeks.
"We hired you to move cars." That's what they told me.
I will try to accommodate.
