I would like to know all that I can about installing headers on the vert, I don't know if long tubes will fit with the vert chassis brace, or how much fabrication will be necessary to connect to a high flow cat (random tech?) and my GMMC exhaust pipe? Shortys would be ok, I don't race the car I just love the looks and the sound of it all. Could this setup be too loud? Oh yeah, what brand headers?

I went with Hooker LTs, mufflex y-pipe and borla plate system... The whole setup was bolt in no welding and it went together great....

I vote for the Hooker LTs, as well. Very good for the price. I've also got the Borla but I had the y-pipe custom fit by a good welder. The custom y cost less than the mufflex and gave the welder the most freedom for clearance, etc. We removed the cross brace and ground the ears down a little for some extra clearance, but it wasn't necessary- just anal... [Eek!]

The sound of the longtubes through the Borla is awesome...

sorry I screwed up the last post. What is a mufflex Y-pipe? {brand name?} Are the LTs ceramic coated? Is the y-pipe ceramic coated?

did a search on Mufflex and found a guy who installed hooker lt's with a mufflex y-pipe and a 4" exhaust with lots of pictures.

FLP's with ORP in use here. Minor clearancing on the x-brace then I pulled the brace after I installed SFC's. No problems to report.

I would recommend Hookers or Jet Hots.
