I am sick of just beating my buddies mustang, its time to sneak in and SMOKE him. how big of a shot can i go in a stock LT1? Anyone know where to get a discount kit or even something new and better than nos? thanks

NO!
You'll surely be blowing off that intake and possibly crack your block....
On a stock LT1, I would not even challenge going over a 100hp shot. Also depending on how many miles ya got....but I would safely go with a 75-100hp shot. Nothing more....or else...you may be visiting a motor shop sooner than you think.
Right now with your stock setup...you're around 260-275 in rwhp....depending on the "other" small mods you've done. So, add on a 75-100, you should be showing him those taillights.
Depending on what nitrous setup you go with....it will vary in what hp you actually get. I would recommend NX as they are closest to actual rating to the rearwheels and they make a great kit. Be sure to get all the safeties installed as well.
