Has anyone out there swapped out the fluid in their manual transmission to a synthetic. If you have any pointers on doing this Pass them on. Thanks

I did on my 97 Formula.I used Mobil 1. Be careful when you take out the plug as it will gush out and miss the drain pan! To put it back (is a real pain. I used a handheld suction pump. There's probably something easier.
Enjoy!

The MN6 Tranny takes ATF fluid, not gear oil.

AMSOIL SYNTHETIC IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN USING, NO NEED FOR THE ADDITIVE HERE. ALSO HAVE SWITCHED TO THERE REAR END FLUID AS WELL. SHIFTS SMOOTHER, NOT MORE REAR END CHATTER TURNING TIGHT CORNERS.
KICKBACK

I changed my tranny fluid to Royal Purple Synthetic ATF. Much smoother shifting and lasts forever.
