Has anyone use Seaform engine cleaner in their crankcase prior to an oil change? Is there any benefit or problems with doing this? I have used Seaform in my gas tank without any problems. I would like to clean the bottom end if this will not create any problems.
Any experience(s) will be appreciated.

I would not use it. I have heard more horror stories than good stories. I have heard that it can loosen everything up and clog your injectors. You are better off not stirring the pot up.

Thanks guys. I agree about leaving well enough alone. I changed my oil last night and stayed with the Mobile 1 10/30. As my father alway said " a good oil has enough detergent in it to keep the bottom end clean if you change at a proper interval (~3000miles)". I have read some of those horror stories about seaform inhaled directly into the intake. That really scares me!!! Thanks again, I just did not want to miss out on a questionable maintaince procedure.
