The guy kept the wheel key, or I can't find it anywhere in the car. How can I get the locks off without wrecking them? I'm going to order a new key from gm but they said it might take two weeks, but I need to get the rims off sooner... what can I do?

Some dealers will have several coded wheel lock keys in stock. Give some a call.

I ran into the same dilemna. Local Pontiac dealership charged me $10.00 per wheel to drill them off. They said it was a common thing. Check your local dealership.

the easiest way is to pound an old socket over it that fits really tight, then just remove the lock and throw it away. There is no "drilling" to be done! Also, any of your local tire stores should have the lock removal kit.

OK but my 02 has different locks on it than my 97 does... I don't see how I could get a socket to grip, its perfectly smooth... The ones on my 97 are rough...
