Hi all, I just found this site and I sure am glad I did. I have been looking for a site like this ever since I got back into the F body scene. I strayed for a while and owned a 01 Mitsu Eclipse for about a year. Biggest POS I have ever seen! I never had problems like I had with that car in any of my 5 previous F Bodys. I am happy I was able to grab a last year out car. I drive it only on the nicest days. Other than that is stays in the garage. Going to try and save it for my 6 year old son. He is already an F body fan!
Anyway, enough rant. I was wondering on your opinions of the SLP bolt on SFCs. I am not going to race the car or anything, I just want to firm it up a bit. This car has t tops. I was also wondering about the strut connector and the opinions of that. Thanks for any help and great site!

I would strongly recomend adding subframe connectors as well as the strut tower brace...I have added the SLP bolt on SFC's and STB, I noticed a big difference. Al

Go over to the Convertable page and read the Bolt on SFC post. I have a set of SFC and strut tower brace from Don. He makes a coupe SFC also. He does really good work.

Steve let me ask you a few questions Coupe or convertible? Do you have 2 18mm and 2 3/4SAE wrenches? If you answered coupe to the first question then you will also need a 13mm wrench or socket. Red or black ?

I have t-tops and installed the SLP bolt-ons as well. Granted, welding will be stronger but I really didn't want that done on my car. As far as I'm concerned, the bolt-ons are fine.
Welding is not stronger, or better it is merely another way to attach them to your car.

What kind of differences do you notice with them? Whose SFCs do you have? Does your car have t-tops?

First suggestion on installing your bolt ons (use locktight). I have spent some money on my suspension and do not regret anything I have bought.

Yes Blue Loctite or equivalent The bolts will not come loose if done properly I have some coupe and convertible bolt on sets if anyone is interested.

STB's and SFC's force the suspension to work better or absorb the majority of road imperfections. Without these the body of the car will absorb more and thats what eventually turns it to squeaks and rattles. Also the car feels like the tires are flat without the SFC's
I made my own STB & SFC's and have extras Hardtop car here. Get em their great.
