Does it really work.. It makes sense and alot of people seem to be happ with it... anyway.. just trying to get some more reviews before I attempt it...
Also... does anyone havea any idea of the best kind of spark plugs and wires to use? I am leaning toward NGK spark plugs but have no idea of what company puts out the best wires. Thansk for any input...

I've seen this discussed a lot. It's supposed work. I like MSD wires, the blue ones. You should get several different answers to this.

Can't help on the plugs, but the FRA mod is worth it, in my book. After a few weeks, you'll notice just how much more air is being sucked in by how dirty the other half of your air filter is. Plus, it's necessity if you plan on installing a cold air induction kit.
I highly recommend the FRA mod. I have a 2000 TA 6-speed that I did this to shortly after getting the car. In addition to the FRA mod, I also removed the screen from the MAF, and installed a K&N filter. I got 28 mpg on the road prior to the mods. Right after doing them, I took a trip and got 32.36 mpg (all interstate miles @ 65 mph). In addition to better gas mileage, you WILL notice an improvement in the performance. After the mods and 45000 miles on the car, I ran a 13.54 @ 106.93.
