.....and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! DGoetzFab gloss black STB is also on & looks AWESOME!!!
The guy that put the SFCs on said, "DAMN! Those are STOUT!" He bolted them on & then spot welded them....so....I guess they won't be going anywhere!
I can tell a BIG difference in the ride & handling.....much tighter....feels more secure.
Thanks, Don!!!

They are excellent aren't they! Posted by JaysGone (Member # 2042) on :
All of Dons parts are 1st class. I just put his tunnel brace on sat. Adds right up there with his SFCs and really completes the set Posted by Z_Man (Member # 2059) on :
I recently put on Don's SFC's too, they are great. I also just got a tunnel brace from him, and will be putting it on soon.

M, I was wondering when you were going to get those on. And tell me you installed the STB. I don't want to disappoint any one but gloss black will not be used in the future. It looks great but every smudge can be seen as well. I will be bringing a few sets to Bowling Green if anyone would like to save the shipping and handling cost.

You're the boss, but you really should leave the color choice up to the customer.

It took me a while to find a shop that I would trust my babyT to.....I've ordered clear corner & side marker lights & these guys are gonna put them on for me -- I was going to try to do some of this myself, but I just don't have the tools, lift, helpers, (or guts) to do some of this stuff.
As it turned out, they had to enlarge the two front holes and the center holes because it just barely didn't line up.
I probly could have done the STB myself....but it was too much fun watching this guy do it!!! Posted by DGOETZ (Member # 1846) on :

Your are correct of course. I do offer custom colors but semi-gloss black really looks like is belongs no matter what color the car is.
So what color do you want?

Put my SFCs on over Labor Day week end. Yesterday I finally got around to putting some miles on the car.
I'm happy, I like them. Don, you did a good job. They really do tighten the car up, feels a lot more solid more.

polished my STB today when I cleaned the engine bay -- that gloss black really looks nice! I'm gonna get gloss black/chrome FRCs to complete the "decor", along with some other black/chrome accents..... Posted by DGOETZ (Member # 1846) on :

M, what did you polish with. I thought about using some Zaino on mine.
I've have a navy/silver color combo slowly taking over the car

used a little Z6 just to wipe off the fingerprints & that seemed to be enough.....

Z6 don't have any of that I'll try some Polish lok and some Z2. Mine is painted and clear coated so that should work

Mine are on, but I wish they had been silver like the stripes (For showing.)! I know they could get dirty, but Jenny does not go play in the bad weather. I think it is good to offer a variety of colors also. Jim and the "Twins"

Everyone has their preference and if you didn't weld them on you can change the color. It's what I would call expensive but worth it to some. I think I may change the color of mine to silver the same as the painted 10 spokes. This would run about $100 a set to strip and re-powder coat less if the quantity were up.

I also had a couple of holes that didn't line up, but nothing a milling machine couldn't fix. Other than that, the craftsmanship/quality is second to none. Also Don is a good guy to deal with and will answer any of your questions. I'm installing a second set on my wife's Z28 now.

Tracy I'm glad you had access to a mill. The holes were made on an drill press from a template/drilling jig. It bothers me that some have holes that line up perfectly and others where they are off. These are all made in the same jig the only variable is the individual cars.
