The shop that put on my SFCs yesterday also manufactures "true dual/dual exhausts" that dump a little in front of the rear axle.

Opinions wanted, please.....anyone have experience with the above? What are the advantages/disadvantages of this exhaust configuration versus my SLP dual/dual Y-pipe setup??

True duals in a 2.5" pipe design will not outflow a 3" single pipe catback. Dual 3" pipes will certainly cause a loss of bottom end torque. My advise would be to go with an aftermarket y-pipe and the 3" catback of your choice.

There are some scavenging advantages to a true dual with an x pipe, but I don't like the idea of dumping exhaust under my seat!

I was wondering about that.....! They DID say that they could bring the pipes on out like regular tailpipes...I personally prefer the "tailpipe" look (chromed [Big Grin] )

An electric cut out may give you what you want when you want it.

It's bad enough keeping the underside of these cars clean without having to deal exhaust dirt as well
