My hood was finally delivered today. However, an email from my body shop guy shows the hood not fitting on the car correctly. If someone can email me and host and post the pictures, I would appreciate it.
Basically, he says that with the hood up against the cowl, the hood sticks out about 2" too far over the front bumper cover. Now, the hood is a WS-6 Style hood, and I have always been under the impression that WS-6 style hoods can fit on either the firebird or trans am front fascia. Does anyone know how these hoods are supposed to fit on the car???
EDIT: Ok, i now have the pictures he emailed me. Keep in mind that I have not seen this first hand, and I am going to drive to Houston on tuesday to look at this for myself, so if any of you can give me advice or suggestions over the weekend, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks!

Actually, I think i figured out the problem. You will get a kick out of this, Jeff.
A lot of the aftermarket hoods have something in common. The firehawk hoods, the SCC raptor hood (hawk clone), and the slp ram air hood all have to fit behind the front fascia. However, the WS6 hood, i believe fits like the oem hoods, it sits on top of the front fascia, instead of fitting in behind it.
Im not sure, but i think they dont know that a ws6 clone hood is supposed to rest on top of the front fascia...
i will have to go to houston on tuesday to look at it to make sure, but i think im going to be surprised at the incompetency of this... Posted by ws6wu6 (Member # 2134) on :
Yes you are right the WS6 hood does hang over the front facia . That is the way they are suppose to fit.
