How many different versions of these are being built and who is building them? Other than the GM Motorsports C5R block that is.

Agostino Racing Engines in Pickering Ontario is building them too. They have done a lot of the early pioneering work in this area and are now quite proficient at it. A friend of mine is running a 415 cu in LS1 with a blower on it. It is quite impressive. He used to have a 422 cu in but wanted more power.

I think SPEED Inc. in [Cool] Schaunburg IL. does them too, I friend from college lived near there, but its been awhile . Close too ARLINGTON PARK Race Track also by Elk Grove Village..

Would the C5R Block be worth the extra $$ ?

What do you folks think the diff.. OF the two are compare >>>> LPE and Speed Inc... engine packages?

LPE all day any day [Big Grin] . Biases aside these guys have been around for 30 years and are unargueably the best in the biz. Speed Inc. did me wrong ONCE on simple NON-mechanical parts. Not a snowballs chance in hell they were going to do something major. MTI would be my second choice for sure. Good Luck!

Wow! didn't expect this thread to still be alive. It appears there will be a new production 427 for the next ZO6 so my problem is solved. I wanted a realistic 427 to use in a virtual car a group of us were developing.http://www.chirpthird.com/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=014838
Fortunately,GM solved the problem for us. Thanks for all of the info. though. Maybe I'll get to build the real thing someday. [Big Grin]
