I have a spare set of 10 spoke SS rims and I'm thinking of putting them on my 89 Formula. Anyone know the proper spacer dimensions for the front and rear. Any clearance issues?

Also a factory 4th gen aluminum driveshaft should be a direct fit in the 89 Formula 350 also. Right or Wrong?

Thanks,
Michael

I would think the wheels and driveshaft would fit.All you can do is try them. [Smile]

I THINK the offset is different, but give it a try and let us know for sure. It would be nice to have those wheels on a 3rd gen!

My research today turned up to use 2" spacers on the front and 1.5" to 2" spacers on the rear to put the 4th gen wheels on a 3rd gen.

Driveshaft is a direct bolt in.

That's going to take some serious studs! [Eek!]

As you have discovered the 4th gen. rear end is 2" wider than the 3rd gen. Hence the need for spacers. I believe most experenced enthusiast will tell you that spacers are not a good idea. Better to sell the wheels and get some with the correct spacing.

I was thinking spacers like these. I've seen this type used on racecars without problems.
