I just purchased a new Gentex k60 auto-diming rearview mirror and need some help with the wiring. Any ideas on how to hook this baby up? Once I got it working I'll be able to get rid of the three garage door openers I have in the center console...I can't wait.

I had a custom accessories shop install mine in my 2002 WS6. Price installed for was $299 for the model with compass, temp and interior lights, same price as I could buy it for.
Took an expert about 2-1/2 hrs to install. Wiring is the hard part, have to feed it thru firewall, that took some skill and solder all the wires for the door lights etc. Lots of time removing trim parts etc. The solder all wires, anything else is only shoddy workmanship they claimed. I agree, its permanent. I got nothing but problems with the wiring for my trailer harness on my 1992 work truck because the RV place just used the quick connects to tap into the wiring. Looks like I might have to buy a new harness because the wires are corroded very bad.

There are a few of us here that have done that install. It's a do it yourself for sure.
I'll email you instructions tomorrow. I have them on my office P.C.

Im currious what type of connectors you used to connect the wire into the harness conector.... I searched all over for them... including the dealer. I couldn't find them so I came up with a creative solution..... just wondering how others did it.

I see Kevin beat me to it. His directions worked very well. Just watch the wire colours. Sometimes they change the colours and locations.
You can just use standard splice / crimp connectors. I used plug ins. Let us know how it works. It's a neat product for sure.

Thanks for the input. Would it be possible to somehow post, or email me, the couple of pages with info from the manuals; I'm still alittle spooked about the wiring.
Here is a bit I did find on LS1Tech.com. web page This does have some nice pics of part of the install.
