Hello all...Trying to get something straight here. I do not know much about gears or there components, I had 3.73's installed this weekend and was wandering about the ABS? Did the gear swap disturb that at all. The guy who did it did a wonderful job and of course I didn't want to act dumb, so when he told me about reseting the ABS code on the dash, i didn't ask any questions. Need some knowledge on subject please. Thanks in advance all!!

Sounds like he may have ran the car in gear while on a hoist.Without the front tires turning along with the rear tires,the ABS system will set a code.It should go away after driving for a short time.If not you may want to pull the ABS module fuses or disconnect the battery to clear out the code. Greg is probably right. But I will throw this out there too. If you have a car with traction control the rear wheel speed sensors are at the wheels. However, if the car does not have traction control the rear speed sensor is on the differential. Make sure he did not disconnect this when he did the gear swap and forget to reconnect it.

Yes, the sensors measure front to rear rotation, so the gears will not affect it and the code will reset by itself.

If not you may have to un-plug the sensor and plug it back in. We had to do this on my car after a dyno run
