I seem to have lost the two little ruubber bumpers inside my fuel filler area.
My parts catolog shows two part numbers
10257216
and
10172357
Has anyone else had to replace these and what part number did you use?
Thanks for the help. Posted by Hawkeye (Member # 88) on :
They fall off all the time. I bought a package of 10 from the dealer. Same price as two of them. Sorry can't find the part #. The bag with the extras is in the glove box. I'll look for it when I get home.

I lost one of mine just a couple months after delivery; dealership replaced it under warranty. But I'm curious (and will make note of those part numbers) - they told me the didn't list out as seperate p.n.'s; they replaced the entire "collar" piece that shrouds the filler neck (the part that the bumpers are affixed to). Seemed an extreme measure to me - probably a $15+ part versus a 50 cent snubber.

That's because the Parts guys are lazy and don't want to hunt up PN's.

The shipping and handling fee through GM Parts Direct will make that way too expensive. They're best for the big stuff. It's probably best to order locally from the dealership for such a small part.
