I have a question. Is there any way to get 380 HP out of a LS1 in a 2000 T/A WS6 without getting into the engine? Like with a programer...exhaust...???

GMMG claimed the Berger SS, Tom Henry SS and the Blackbird all came with 380 hp ratings and they did not go into the engine. I believe they may have installed underdrive pulleys, ported the stock exhaust manifolds, maybe a larger mass air flow sensor and did some EMC tuning. [Smile]

I hear it is even the same MAF sensor. Remember the 380 is at the block not the rear wheels, all of the 01-02 345hp F-bodies are close to 380 at the block

Greg you are almost 100% right. The tuning and under drives and a little porting helped, but all 2001 and 2002 LS1's was well above advertized HP and that 380 was at the crank. When you drove the 380 Berger you felt more in the seat of the pants than a regular SS you just got out of but alot of that feeling like you had so much more power from yours was the rear end gear change.

I have an 02 SS 345hp package with SLP LTs and high flow cats. Just dynoed at 328.4RWHP. If you consider 15% drivetrain loss that's 386HP at the motor. [Big Grin]

My dyno number with LT headers and a tune up were 338.5 rwhp.Thats 398 at the crank. With a mild cam, I now have 375 rwhp, 440 hp at the crank.

Do you have the Z06 intake on your LS1? I believe they were standard on the 01 to 02's. You can probably pick up a few HP right there.
