Dan followed me home in his Z06 with my whiny power steering pump. Started to act up on the way out.
Dan's got a few more hours before he's back up in NH.
Great to see Dan, Hawkeye, and poSSum again. Good to meet 2002Z4CSS, and a few other members.
Mary and Ralph won best in show! Their car is just so beautiful. They will need an new room soon for all the trophies.
Mr Settlemire is well. When he found out I wasnt racing because of my p/s pump, he took extra special care of me. He tossed me the keys to the B4C, said get it teched, and make a few passes! What a blast that was hitting the siren and lights going down the track.

It was a pleasure meeting you as well! I wished I took a picture of you driving the B4c from the tower. I could not get the camera turned on in time! Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002

That car deserves every trophy that you and Mary get. And if there was a trophy for really nice folks, you would get that too! It was great to see you again. PS, I didn't want to say anything but Mary has the prettiest green eyes I think I ever saw. :blush

Thanks Dan, hard to believe that it was only the 5th show the car has ever been in.
LOL I'll tell Mary about her eyes, she will get a kick out of that!

Just one funny story to add. I got two runs in the 1/4 mile right away when I got in. I parked the car to give it and me a rest so I could get over my rotton driving and tough conditions. While I was standing there a gentleman walked up with a ballot and asked my if that red Z06 was my car. I said yes. He said, "Where is the number?" I asked if he meant the number for the racing? It is on the windows. He said no, the number for the car show. I said it wasn't in the car show to be judged, it was a mess. He said too bad and wrote in his ballot, the one with no number. I was rolling!

You want to tell them about the black Trans Am and what the effect on all the other traffic was. I thought that was pretty funny.
sure... why not!
we were taking it easy on the way back. I was nursing my car home. Besides, Dan said his foot was tired from trying to keep up with Hawkeye on the way down from Windor.
were cruising I-81 north just out of Harrisburg, and a black WS6 blows our doors off. so, what the heck, figured let the cars stretch their legs, so I let him get about 1/4 mile ahead, and kept pace. mind you pace was errrrrrr ummmmm, right at triple digits.
next thing you know, we have all these sports cars wanna be's right up Dan's tail lights, including a minivan and a GrandAm. It was hilarious.
We kept up the pace for a good 45 minutes until Dan's tiny bladder made us get off.

Gee, I'm glad Mary didn't listen to me and kept on polishing! Congrats you guys. It was a super fun time with everyone. I'm doubly glad that my wife came along and got to meet everyone that I always talk about plus a few new friends. Now she can understand why I spend so much time on the computer and that I don't really have a girlfriend at the other end!

Mary and I thank you for the congrats, let me know if you can not find the Maas polish locally and I can send you some more if you like it.
Ralph
Ralph, thanks again for that Maas polish.I have been to Home Depot as of yet,hec I have not even cleaned the bugs off the SS after the trip. That stuff is great and made my stock exhaust and tips better than new.

Ralph what is Maas polish? For metal?
Dan,it is made for metal. You should see how shiny Mary and Ralph's a/c accumulator is on their SS! Darn thing looks chrome plated! They bought it at Home Depot. About $4.00 a tube. I will get under the SS and use it on my exhaust today. Maybe even take a picture of the final results.

Ralph sanded the a/c accumulator then used this Maas polish to make it look like a mirror!
