Congrats on your decision! ARE is bending over backwards these days by making a concerted effort to keep their customers happy. There have been some negative comments on the boards of late and Nick is now back in the business looking after customer relations. One of the guys in our Toronto club just had a heads and cam pkg. (with "bolt-ons") done there on his '01 Hawk and had the car back in 3 days - with 425 RWHP!
Keep us posted!

Best regardSS,

Elie

Sure would like to know how he likes the new heads and cam on his Hawk. I too have a friend with an 01 Firehawk who will be looking at my car when its done to see if its what he wants. See if your Hawk friend will give some input on the package he got from ARE.

Here's his e-mail. Do you think he likes it? [Wink] He got the Grotyohahn LTs from another person in the club, but I believe the Grotts are the basis for the design of the PPC headers.

Well after talking with Nick and Wade we decided to also put a set
of the Street Eliminator Heads on the car. So the mods are ARE Ported
Heads, 230/230 .595/.595 112 LSA Cam, ported TB, Grott Long Tube Headers
and Off Road Y. I dropped the car off on Monday morning at 8:00 and they
called me today at 11:00 so that's pretty good. They are just finishing up
the line lock and the idle tuning.

The numbers are huge 425 rwhp and 394rwtq!
Wow I'm pumped and can't wait to drive the car tonight....

Best regardSS,

Elie

Elie.......After driving your car with the new mods from ARE, please..... let us know what it feels like to have 425 rwhp. This is about where I'll be.

blkragss02......quite the fire the other night at Tele and Eureka. Didn't have to go far.

I must clarify that the 'Hawk with 425 RWHP belongs to Jim Mills - not me! I haven't driven his car yet, so I'm really not an authority on having 425 RWHP! (I can talk about ARE's more conservative pkg that puts 367 RWHP to the ground in my SS, though) [Smile]
After listening to Jim, he is ecstatic about the results from ARE. He does mention at the same time that traction is definitely an issue for him now - especially wheel hop. The 'Hawk is a 6MN and he is already saving for a 12 bolt! [Eek!]

Best regardSS,

Elie
