grumpy is a road racer, but I am sure he has a trick or two up his sleeve for drag racing. His SS is a 1g lateral machine!
But, if you want to hook, you can try this: get some Eibach drag launch springs, get some HAL shocks for adjustability, put an Air bag in the rear right spring, and a torque arm, Lower Control arms, panhard rod, and some subs. And don't forget the Nitto Drag Radials!
If you go to these other boards, there are also some people there that can help if Grumpy can't.

I concur with brother Doug. Also, weight transfer is crutial to launching. An aftermarket adjustible torque arm to adjust pinion angle, stiff RLCAs all will help. Taking out the front sway bar helps weight transfer, but is a little radical for the street.
Good tires and a 4.10 rear
(mm6) or 3.73 and a high stall converter if A4 is money in the bank.
