There's a bunch of new area codes in the Carribean. You get a page from an unknown number?

Call your phone company, they will most likely credit your account.

These calls are charged at the international rate.

This and other scams listed on an industry supported website.

Ken, try this link:

http://infousa.com/fs/consumer.htm?bas_fssession={bas_fssession}&bas_vendor=475&bas_type=FADP&bas_page=1&bas_action=search

This only works on phone numbers that are listed. If they are unlested, it will give you a error message.

Hope this helps.

SSteve

Phone number was 67854322 and the date, time was Nov 18th, 6:06pm. Call lasted 1 min. $7.80.

I found info on the Island. It is near Australasia and I checked their phone directory at http://www.vatu.com/ and then it came back error so I sent Email to telecom@tvl.net.vu because they might help.

That was the best I can do. Now that it might be a scam, probably won't get any answer out of that directory people. I guess it is time to turn to phone company and complain.

I probably will win the arguement because I am hearing impairment. And that the call was made directly when in fact I rely on MD Relay (MDRelay.org) service to telecommunicate my conversation with hearing people and they do not allow any 900# or those kind of service. Being such a telephone service with this agency, they reserve all right to deny any kind of 900 service. This kind of scam does apply to 900 number, obviously.
