i am getting new tires for my 99 ss and i can't deside if i want a set of nittos or the new bfgoodrich g-force t/a kdws. have any of you heard of the kdws? They say the kdw is now discontinued??? is that true?

I believe they are both good tires but I would go with whatever will get you the most mileage because they are both sticky tires. I haven't heard anything about them being discontinued.

Unless we know the intended use of the new tires it is difficult to make a recommendation.

Drag

Autocross

HP street

Price range

Expected tire life

etc, etc....

I would recommend different tires for different answers to the above questions.

I'm a happy user of Nitto NT-555 (not-R's) tires on 2 cars, plus I have 4 friends who made the switch, all have been very pleased (1-300ZX, 1 Camaro, 2 Mustangs) Great wet traction, Tread wear is cool too!!

Take a look at the Bridgestone RE730, fantastic wet weather traction, excellent dry traction and a 300 treadwear rating to boot. I have these tires on my Z28 and they are fantastic. Question, do you want all season tires? If so I would go with the BFG's.
