This just in from Scott Settlemire:
quote:

Good afternoon, Fellow Camaro Enthusiasts!

--late notice perhaps, but for those of you on the west coast looking for
something to do this weekend:

Speedvision will be taping a 30 minute Segment on SLP Engineering, SLP's History
and its people behind the great products, the Camaro SS and the Pontiac
Firehawk. Part of the video segment will be taped at Bragg-Smith Advanced
Driving School (Pahrump, NV) and Race Rock Cafe in Las Vegas this weekend.

If you are interested in attending and checking out what happens behind the
scenes during a videotaping session, please contact Reg Harris at >>>
riot1@aol.com <<< We'd like to gather as many Camaro SS and Pontiac
Firehawks as possible to use as backdrops at the school and at Race Rock. Greg
Heinrich, the president of Fairway Chevrolet in Las Vegas, and Henderson
Chevrolet in nearby Henderson, Nevada (one of our largest and best Camaro
dealers) has graciously agreed to appear in the video as well.

The taping at Bragg-Smith is scheduled from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday,
January 6. The school is located at 3601 South Highway 160 (Blue Diamond Hwy)
in Pahrump, NV ...about 1 hour west of Las Vegas. For more detailed info. on
Bragg-Smith, please visit their website at www.bragg-smith.com.

The Race Rock taping session takes place later that day from 4:00 pm until 7:30
pm -- Race Rock is located at 495 Fremont Street. Their phone number is
702-382-7223. For more detailed information, their website is www.racerock.com.

If you will allow your car to appear in the video, Dinner (excluding alcoholic
beverages) will be provided by SLP at Race Rock......Similarly, if you will
allow us to use your SS or Firehawk at Bragg-Smith, SLP will provide Lunch.

So, stop by and say hello to Reg, Rupert Bragg-Smith, Greg, and yours truly as
we put Camaros through the paces both on and off the track!

I'm sorry for the late notice (things come together very quickly at
times!).....but please confirm your attendance to REG HARRIS BY 6:00 PM PACIFIC
TIME ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 5.

Hope to see you there!

Scott

I just called Steve.....he said that if I hop in the SS now and start driving.....I just might make it.
I don't think I could make the run w/out a co-pilot though.

Darn that would be fun.

I couldn't go in November because of the cost.

This one looks like a very economical weekend. I have relatives in Vegas who'd be delighted with some company...

I was there, what a day! I'll be doing a trip report, but that will take a few days and I'll have to post it in parts, so many fabulous things to report. Thanks to Reg Harris, Jim Ferron, Scott Settlemire, and Bobby Moore for a great day. A special thanks to Reg and his mother for a great evening. I've never been treated so well.

The first draft of the trip report is complete and sent to Reg Harris for his approval.

Hopefully I can post it tomorrow. I took my film to Costco Sunday evening. I'll check tonight to see if it is in yet. If not, I won't be able to check until Wednesday night, I have bowling on Tuesdays. Unfortuantely, I don't have a scanner, so I will mail them to Cody Kraus. He can scan them and post them for everyoneto see.
