Join the club - You should have seen me sleeping on the kitchen floor beside our new pup when we got her, kept her quiet so everyone else could sleep.

They'll become your best friends. Enjoy.

Hey to Grace.

Thanks Hawkeye. It has been just about a year since I lost my last Pal. He was a Norwegian Elkhound only a year and a half old. I'll love them when they are house broken!

...yeah, but just wait till you try to potty train them...

...congrats on the new additions...

...at least you won't have to pay to send them through college or for their weddings...

Hey, you actually have some male companionship now!!!!

Posted by Happy_Dan (Member # 118) on :

Thanks to all, you are all right on all counts. MikeF you cracked me up!! I have had a similiar scenario with my last dog!!

The names have been chosen by my youngest daughter, Dan. She is calling them Harold and Sam. I don't like theose names but they are already starting to respond to them, soooo.......

B0, I have never tried to house break two at once before and they sleep in the same kennel, so this is going to be an adventure. Now Grace on the other hand should have no problem. We have twins, so she is used to cleaning up after two. In fact the twins are 13 month younger than their older sister, so Grace could handle 3. At least she could 20 years ago. Wheewww, time fly's.

Dan,

Do not ... under any circumstances ... let Grace e-mail a picture of the pups to Marion. We would probably have to make a quick trip to New Hampshire

I like the names, my uncle had a dog my cousins called "Gustav" and my aunt called him "Teddy". He had no problem responding to both.

Where do you find the time

FRED'S COMING OVER THIS WEEKEND TO PLAY. HE LIKES PUPPIES.

Posted by Happy_Dan (Member # 118) on :

Art, I'm going to send them if it would get a visit out of you!! Come on over, it's swimming weather here. We would love to have you!!

Paul, Fred is welcome as long as he doesn't teach the puppies to put nose prints on my car!!

Posted by NBM98SS (Member # 186) on :

Fred's moved on, instead of nose prints he's into peeing on tires.

Thanks Chris. Any hints or suggestions? I never had Golden's before. I have had other dogs but never a Golden. Email me if you want. They really seem to be very clingy and affectionate little buggers.

Posted by chrisL (Member # 97) on :

well, they are the most affectionate dogs I've ever had. If you need help housebraking, let me know. there are some strange tips the breeder taught me that really helped.

We kept one of the six, but we lost her last year to lymphoma Been toying with the idea of getting another pup, but, havent built up the guts to pull the trigger yet. You certainly know what I mean.

Chris, I'll glad take any suggestions you have. We are doing pretty well right now. We have had dogs before so we use a kennel for them to sleep in and then take them out every 4 hours. So far so good, but advice is welcome.

I know exactly what you mean. It tok me a full year before I could get another dog after my last one. I still miss him!!

Hawkeye, I hope you have some big rooms in that new house of yours!!

Hey Dan...
Those little guys are absolutely adorable!!!! Maybe I could arrange another business trip to Westford so I could come play! I always had a dog growing up but I haven't gotten a pet since I have been on my own!
Tell Grace hello!

Gee, I think we need an "IMPROV" message board here...

...it's really a shame all you comedians don't have your own forum...

...where you could while away the hours cracking each other up...

...and BWAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA to your heart's content...

...we'd know exactly where to send the dudes in those nice starched white coats...

...don't quit your day jobs...
