When I sell my SS what happens to my membership? does it get switched to the new owner? What is normal practice for this situation?

You can transfer the remainder of your membership to a new owner for $20. If they want a full, two-year membership from scratch, it's $40. Remember, renewals are $10/year after the first two and all Founding members and everyone who joined in '00 have gotten a bonus (extra) year for having to wait so long for the LofA's.
