I've got a 97 HMS SS. Its got the stainless SLP dual/dual exhaust with a 3" primary. My problem is, I also have a 95 Z28. The 95 rumbles so much louder at idle. My SS is quiet compared to it. I know there is a baffle installed in one of the pipes b/c of a decibal measure failure. It cant make that much of a diff, SLP claimed only 7 dec. loss. Anyone out there with a 97 dual cat car put on exhaust. Is it loud? What did you put on?

Well I don't have a 97 but the dual dual is pretty quiet. You could put on a different muffler, I know dynomax makes one flowmaster does too.
If you want loud for a 97' get either borla, or SLP 2 on the left. From what I hear those are the loudest.
