It looks like the strip on the right doesn't meet the front of the car right. I think you should fix it. I saw that the two of them didn't look quite the same and wasn't sure which one was off but it is noticible.
They look great!! Good luck. See you in April.
If you can get the stripe fixed, I would, not because you can notice it but because knowing you are nuts like the rest of us, you won't rest until it's right.

From the picture your stripes look good. One can tell that one stripe is off a little, but if you had not pointed it out I don't think I would have noticed. I don't know if I would complain about something that close to perfect.
Question where did you get the stripes and what other colors do they come in? My SS is red and has T tops. Also in addition to the hood stripes do they also cover the rear deck and back of the car? It seems that the rear of the ss is what everyone will be looking at.
I ordered the stripes from www.phoenixgraphix.com. They have all different colors. They cost $199.00 for the set. You get the front bumper, the hood, the back part right behind the t-tops, the spolier and the rear deck. If you are driving behind the car I don't think you can notice the stripes on the spolier unless you are in a truck or a car that is high. Well I ordered a new set of stripes for the hood. Every time I look at the car my eyes go right to that spot. No biggy.

Got a question for you. Recieved the stripes from Pheonix Graphics. Is the distance between the stripes correct as they are supplied? They look to be pretty close, except for the hood stripes which have to be seperated from each other. The only thing missing from Pheonix that would make life easier are the measurements from the edges of the hood, trunck , etc.
If you,or anyone else out there have measurements for the following we could post it maybe save everyone that's going through this some time:
- From the top edge of the hood (by the windshield ) to the stripe
- From the lower edge of the hood(where it meets the front fasica) to the stripe (this would also allow correct placement of the short stripes on the front fascia)
- From the side edges of the rear spoiler to the edge of the stripe
- From the edge of the trunk lid to the edge of the stripe
- For T-tops, from the center of the center T-top support (the black brace in the center of the roof) to the edge of the stripe (this would be measuring from the center of the roof out towards the inside edge of the stripe)
Thanks for the help - SSBOB
I don't have the exact measurements for you. From what the guy told me who put mine on was that he said for the stripes on the spoiler and behind the t-tops was that he just took them and folded them together, made his mark, and that was it. Understand?? As for the hood he said he had to seperate them before he put them on. They pretty much only can go in one place. Look at my pics. As you can tell you can mess them up a little but I don't think you will make them way off from one another. Hope I helped you out.

Do you have a 96 SS??? If so, then forget what I wrote about the stripes. I have a 99SS and the stripe kit will be different. I would call up phoenix graphix and maybe ask them. Sorry about that.
YIKESS
Yes, I have a 96SS. I've kinda figured out where they had to be anyway. Pheonix has it exactly right. The distance between the stripes is 5-3/8". Just like you said above, I measured from the center of the T-Top support outward and for the trunk and spoiler divided the total width in half and went out the 5-3/8". So far everything looks good. I'm still not sure how you're supposed to make the decal bend upward on the hood scoop with that backing paper on. The backing papaer is a pretty heavy weight paper and I wasn't sure how you make it conform to the contours so that you have a minimum of squeegeeing.
P.S. Used to be from your neck of the woods - Bayport - East Islip - but don't miss the cold, traffic, or taxes!
